Robin Tobin

Gifted and Talented Teacher

Hi, my name is Robin Tobin. This is my 15th year in education and in DPS, I am thrilled to be at Florida Pitt Waller as one of your two Gifted & Talented Specialists! I have a Masters in Special Education and a Doctorate in Gifted Education, both from the University of Denver. I am passionate about meeting my students where they are and helping them discover and nurture their unique gifts. I work at FPW half-time; when I am not at FPW, I coach a cohort of GT Itinerant teachers at 24 other DPS schools and lead professional development for the Gifted & Talented department. Outside of work, I love being creative (singing and dancing), reading, doing pilates, and cuddling my rescue pup, Lucy. I also love hanging out with my family: my husband Brad and our child, Micah. Brad is also a teacher, teaching Physics and GT at Northfield, Micah recently graduated from the Denver School of the Arts and is about to move to Boston to attend Emerson College.

I feel so excited for this school year!
