Florida Pitt Waller Family,
I am very excited to serve as your Principal for the 2023-2024 school year! I look forward to seeing all of our students, staff, and family members.
We will continue to reach high levels of student growth. In order to keep this momentum, your continued help, collaboration, leadership, and support is needed. We really appreciate the partnership between our school, fabulous parents, and community members.
Thank you for all you do to make Waller an amazing place for all students. We appreciate you!
During this school year, we look forward to continuing our explicit focus on the work we do with our students academically as well as socially & emotionally. We will continue to emphasize mindfulness and Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) systems.
Our school continues to value the opportunities we have to consistently connect with our community. Some of our goals this year will be to bring back campus school-wide events, such as: the annual Mother-Son Luncheon/Father-Daughter Dance, Elementary and Middle School Awards Ceremonies, Core Value Celebrations, Cinco de Mayo, Black History Month, Multicultural Night Celebrations, FPW Carnival, Middle School Debates, Thanksgiving Dinner Give-Aways, Junior Academy Washington, DC trip, theatrical performances and musicals, Talent Shows, and so much more! We are really focused on ways to bring our community closer together. Check back on our website or other social media outlets for updates on upcoming events and/or classroom celebrations!
This year, we have discussed updating our current mission and vision to reflect on our past (where we come from and how we started), where we are today, and where we are going for the future.
Mission: Florida Pitt Waller builds a strong school culture for a diverse community of scholars and provides continuity of equitable instruction from ECE-8th grade.

We allow parents in the building to visit classrooms and also volunteer. Please contact our Dean of Culture to schedule a date and time to visit your child’s classroom. While visiting, please be mindful that we are focused on instruction and positive student support throughout the school day. If you are interested in volunteering at our campus, please check the Denver Public Schools website and complete the Volunteer Form.
Best to you all,
