My name is Irene Lazaro de Miguel, and this will be my first year at FPW as both an STL and a GT teacher. I was born in Spain and came to the US in 2010 as a teacher. This coming year will be my 20th year in education: I have taught in Texas, Illinois, here in Colorado and Spain as well. In my previous professional life I was a Social Worker and that is also a big part of who I am!
I am also a mother to two amazing DPS students: Arianna and Oliver. My husband also works for DPS in the technology department. We are a family of foodies and love trying new restaurants and foods! I also like to read, write and just be together with my family, wherever that is.
