Most recently, I worked with the Growth & Performance Team at EGC to ensure that DPS employees were treated fairly when involved with the performance improvement process. Prior to that, I have worked as a school leader in K-8 schools, middle schools, and high schools, including at Morey Middle School in DPS. I spent nine years teaching English Language Arts at the high school level, and also worked as a district technology integration specialist and designed a dropout recovery program in a highly impacted school community in Arizona.

I grew up in Chicago, Illinois, where I was inspired by a teacher who I credit with helping to provide me a path when I previously had none. In this way, my work in education exists to repay that debt.

I have a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor’s in Secondary English Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

My wife works for Aurora Public Schools and together we have three “children” aged 15, 18, and 21. My wife and I spend our free time building and renovating our home as though we are on an HGTV show, and occasionally go hiking and camping with our three dogs and the kids.
