Important Reminders: School Campus Safety

FPW families,

We welcome parents into our building and in order to ensure everyone’s safety, we have procedures in place in order to follow. We have had some challenges lately, but we are being proactive about making adjustments, supporting coverage for key areas, and we need your help. This was shared with families in February and we have made some updates. 

For the Safety of our Campus

• All parents/guardians/visitors must provide a physical ID to be issued a visitor’s badge with their picture. 
• All parents/guardians/visitors must sign in and out upon entering and leaving the building at the front office. This is for the safety and security of our campus. 

Crossing Guard/Crosswalk

• Please be mindful of students walking through the crosswalk in the morning and afternoon. 

 School Doors Open at 7:35 a.m. for Students

• Students can not enter the building before 7:35 a.m. since there is no adult supervision. 

Food Delivery

• Food Delivery from DoorDash, Uber eats, etc. is not permitted for students.
• If you are bringing outside food for your students, we invite you to have lunch with them. 

Messages

• No messages will be delivered to students after 2:45 p.m. Please make arrangements with your student prior to this time. 

Check-in/Check-out

If you need to check your student out for dismissal, please call the main office by 2:45 p.m. During the daytime, please call when you are on your way. Please identify your student by name, grade level, and teacher name. We will have your student ready at the front door to be checked out. (ECE must have a parent or guardian over the age of 18 to sign in and out)

Parents/guardians are required to come into the building to physically sign out their student. We are only able to release students to their designated contact in Infinite Campus (IC). This is for the safety and security of our campus. 

Parent/Teacher Conferences  

Parents/Guardians, must check-in at the front office for scheduled appointments with educators. Please wait in the front office for your meeting and someone, either the Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean of Culture, and/or Dean of Operations will walk you to your designation. Please make sure that you follow these guidelines for the safety and security of our campus.

Pick up and Drop off lanes (Kiss and Go Lane)

• Please pick up and drop off students in the Kiss and Go Lane.  
• Bus lane – No driving, dropping off or picking up in the bus lane.
• Watch for students and staff walking in our crosswalk. Our top priority is to keep all students and staff safe, it is important to watch for all pedestrians and drive slowly and safely. 

Bus Lanes

• Please do not park in the bus lanes. Buses are frequently picking up and dropping off students.
