Mary Krsnak is a Colorado native whose maternal grandparents homesteaded on Colorado’s eastern plains. She graduated from Denver Public Schools as did her two sons. She received her degree in art from Monmouth College in Illinois and returned to Denver. She worked 10 enjoyable years in banking as she continued to study and create art. She has always enjoyed working with children and after her sons began school she began teaching for Denver Public Schools. This is her fifth year at Florida Pitt Waller and she has been with Denver Public Schools 15 years.
When Mary is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and sons. She continues to take classes to learn new techniques and ideas and works in watercolors, acrylics, and encaustics. She is an avid gardener and enjoys outdoor activities. She also loves reading, cooking, antiquing and traveling.
