Polly Flaim, a 20 year veteran teacher of Denver Public Schools, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and spent most of her childhood in the Adirondack Mountain region of New York. She moved to Colorado after high school and got her B.S. Degree in Human Services from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Polly earned her Elementary Education Teaching Certification from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her M.S. Degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
During her long career with Denver Public Schools, Ms. Flaim has taught Reading, Social Studies, and Special Education classes for students in grades three through eight. Currently, Polly is the Multi-Intensive Center Program Teacher at Florida Pitt Waller. She loves teaching students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Polly lives in Frederick, Colorado, with her husband Benjamin, who happens to be her best friend. They have four children and nine grandchildren! She loves spending time with her family and spending time in her church. Ms. Flaim is a beginning piano player and she enjoys reading in her spare time.
